WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our Purpose

The purpose of Lake Chelan Lutheran Church is to be a haven of peace for a tormented world.

Our Mission

Oriented to Christ in worship and prayer, we are gradually learning to relax into the steadfast love of God. Rather than striving to earn or evoke that love, we are called to gratefully receive it and joyfully offer it to a world in need, as God gives us opportunity.

What to Expect

Visitors will find a warm and inviting worship space, approachable and traditional. We take the formative power of the liturgy seriously, and we welcome people to come to it as they are, in dress, in emotional condition, in state of belief or unbelief. The congregation does much of the singing and praying, and communion is shared at a table that is open to all. We would love for your children to join us during service, but we do have childcare available during the sermon if you’d prefer.

We are an aging congregation with time and energy to serve our neighbors, unafraid of the difficult questions and situations of life. We proclaim the dignity of all people and lean heavily on the same love, mercy, and forgiveness we proclaim.
